Enable push on phone or desktop (PWA)

Install the app

On iPhone/iPad: Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android Chrome: Install app / Add to Home screen. On desktop Chrome/Edge: install as an app from the address bar menu.

Enable push

1. Open Rostrix from the home-screen or desktop app icon (not a browser bookmark)
2. Tap Allow notifications when Rostrix asks, or go to Account → Notifications and tap Enable on this device
3. Leave Push notifications turned on

iPhone and iPad only deliver these alerts to the Home Screen app, after you allow notifications from that icon. A desktop shortcut that opens in the browser cannot show a badge on its own icon — install Rostrix as an app.

App icon badge

After notifications are allowed, Rostrix puts the unread count on the installed app icon (iPhone/iPad Home Screen, and the Chrome/Edge app icon on Windows and Mac). Android usually shows a notification in the shade and a dot on the icon. The count updates when an alert arrives and when you open Rostrix.
