Freeze approved time before payroll export — by branch or department.

When to lock
Lock once timesheets for the week are approved and ready for payroll. A lock blocks further edits for that branch (or department slice) until reopened by someone with permission.
Staff notification
Staff who worked that branch week can get a “Timesheet week locked” alert so they know the week is closed.
